    • In this first session we will be taking some time to explore right where we are - from looking out of the window or from ambling along the streets near where we live...

We will be guided by a PowerPoint presentation I have prepared and have the opportunity to explore where we live and connect with the nature that is right beside us...

Feel free to share you reflections, comments and photos on the course Forum or the SWALC Facebook page.

Let's begin where we are and explore what's close at hand!

    • This time we will be venturing a bit further afield to explore Parks or taking time to discover a Garden, if we have one of our own or have access to one near us

We often don’t take time to notice what we can see in our own garden or what grows in the borders and verges of the park or churchyard near where we live. During this session, we will take some time to notice what's going on around us..

    • Here we have the opportunity to share some of our thoughts, feelings, jottings and photos from our woodland wanderings and from our field edge walks....

Feel free to share freely and to explore different ways of capturing your observations, like writing a postcard, making a design from gathered leaves or sketching the outline of a poem...

    • In the final session for this course, we will have the chance to explore woods and wander along hedgerows... Through the PowerPoint presentation, the notes you make, the photos you take and the Forum, you can explore woods and hedges and share what you have seen and how you have connected with nature...

Later in the year, I will be offering further courses, including ones to help us to connect with nature by walking near river and streams and over hills and valleys...
