I remember buying this album from Woolworths when I was 13. It made a big impact on me and opened the door on an exciting world of serious music. That door has never closed and I'm still rummaging around, thanks to this album.
It's one of those rare albums that creates its own world. Nothing sounded like this in 1973. The songs and the production are ground breaking, touching on subjects that were still considered taboo at the time - mental health, death, alienation.
I haven't played it for a while but will return to the dark side of the moon. Thanks for reminding me Luke.
