If you feel anxious, stressed, tense or overwhelmed, Mindful Yoga will encourage you to breathe more deeply and calm body and mind.

Yoga is a whole system for wellbeing. It can lift the spirits and provide respite from anxieties about the future and worries about the past by focusing the attention on ‘the here and now.’ With regular practice, the benefits of a weekly class can last for up to 8 days.

These classes are sequenced specifically for mental health and are trauma sensitive. You will be invited to try the different practices within the classes and given options if any of them don’t feel right for you.

Classes are friendly and suitable for total beginners. You won’t break into a sweat and there is no need to be fit or flexible! You will need to be able to get up and down from the floor plus sit and lie down on the floor.

No special equipment or clothing is needed. Just wear something comfortable like tracksuit bottoms or shorts and a T-shirt and bare feet. You may also like to have a blanket and cushion so you are super comfortable for the relaxation at the end of the class.

If you don’t have a yoga mat, practicing on carpet or a rug will work just fine.

Please remember, you are welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable for you. You do not have to share your video.
